My name is Desiree, and I’m originally from Los Angeles, California. I eventually moved across the country to the Northern Virginia area. I’ve always been drawn to street art, and during a visit to Philly to check out the “Love Letters” tour, something about the city’s raw and genuine art scene called out to me. Not long after, I decided to move there and finish my degree in Graphic Design at Tyler Design & Architecture at Temple University.

At Temple, I made it a point to go beyond what was required. I intentionally chose electives across different areas—sports branding, wayfinding, even virtual reality—to explore the full range of what design could be. I also took on the added challenge of completing Honors requirements, which pushed me to take a standard UX/UI website project and turn it into an app version. I wasn’t interested in staying in one lane. I wanted to challenge myself, experiment, and leave with more than just a checklist of courses. I wanted to learn from experienced professors in each field and absorb as much as I could along the way.
